Current transport trends in the world economy clearly show the need for efficient logistics chains performance. The performance of the overall logistics system depends on accompanying measures concerning, in particular, management, data interchange and training. It is expected that global planning, a harmonised approach to operations, the coordination of actions relative to processes and communication systems and joint development of staff qualifications in a logistics network would both optimise and accelerate trade development.
